Pay with your iPhone
If your iPhone has Face ID, double-click the side button. If prompted, authenticate with Face ID or enter your passcode to open Apple Wallet. If your iPhone has Touch ID, double-click the Home button.
When you're shopping in an app on your Apple Watch, choose the Apple Pay option during checkout. Review the payment, shipping, and billing information, then double-click the side button to pay with your Apple Watch.
If you do not want to Double-Click to confirm payment: Go to Settings Tap Accessibility (photo 1) Tap Touch (photo 2) Tap Assistive Touch (photo 3) Confirm with assistive touch - turn that on and follow the instructions (photo 4). You will now be able to pay with Apple Pay without double-clicking the side button.
Tap to Pay on iPhone allows merchants to accept Apple Pay and other contactless payments by using iPhone and a partner-enabled iPhone app. With this service, users with supported iPhone devices can securely accept contactless payments and Apple Pay NFC-enabled passes.
On an iPhone with Face ID, you can also use AssistiveTouch or use Switch Control to confirm payments with Face ID instead of double-clicking the side button.
Why is Apple Pay Not Working? The most common issue with paying with an iPhone is choosing a card that is incompatible with the system and does not support Apple Pay. So, first of all, make sure your card supports Apple Pay.
Apple Pay is built into iPhone, Apple Watch, Mac, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro. To get started on iPhone, open the Wallet app and tap the plus symbol. Then add a credit or debit card by tapping the back of your iPhone with your eligible card. You'll have the option to add your card to your other devices at the same time.
If iPhone double tap not working, it's possible that the issue can be resolved by adjusting the Back Tap settings. To use the Back Tap feature, you need to enable it via the Settings app first. Go to Settings on your device, and then head to Accessibility. Then, tap on Touch > Back Tap.
Double-Click Side Button: (on an iPhone with Face ID) Your cards and passes appear on the screen when you double-click the side button. Double-Click Home Button: (on an iPhone with a Home button) Your cards and passes appear on the screen when you double-click the Home button.

What is the difference between Apple Pay and Apple Wallet? Apple Pay is a safe way to pay and make secure purchases in stores, in apps, and on the web. Apple Wallet is the place where you store your credit or debit cards so you can use them with Apple Pay.
Tap or hold your card close to your iPhone to add it. If you're unable to add your card by tapping or holding it close to your iPhone, position your debit or credit card in the frame to scan it. To manually add your card, tap Enter Card Details Manually and follow the onscreen instructions.

Open Settings. In the “Search settings” bar, type NFC. Ensure NFC is turned on. Ensure that you enable contactless payments for the linked card.
Check that you're able to use Apple Pay: Contact your card issuer to see if they support Apple Pay. Update to the latest version of iOS, watchOS, macOS, or visionOS. Confirm that you have Face ID, Touch ID, Optic ID, or a passcode set on your device.
