To add your Chime card to Apple Pay, open the Wallet app on your iPhone, tap the plus sign (+), choose "Debit or Credit Card," and then either use your camera to scan your Chime virtual card (found in Chime Settings > Cards) or manually enter the details, following the prompts to agree and activate.
Digital and secure: Your virtual card lives in the Chime app. You can also add it to your mobile wallet so it's always available, even if you don't have your physical card. Connected to your account: Like your physical card, your virtual card pulls funds from your Chime Checking account.
When you link your Chime card to digital wallets, you can make payments without having your physical card present. You will need an active data plan or WiFi in order to make payments or transfers using a digital wallet.
Contact your card issuer to see if they support Apple Pay. Update to the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, macOS, or visionOS. Confirm that you have Face ID, Touch ID, Optic ID, or a passcode set on your device. Make sure that you are in a supported country or region.
Your card might not be eligible for Apple Pay because your bank doesn't support it, you're in an unsupported region, your device needs an update, you've hit a token limit from adding it to many places, or security locks are on due to failed attempts, with the primary fix often being contacting your card issuer for approval or to reset tokens.
At Chime, we offer virtual cards for all of our members directly in the Chime app. To find yours, simply visit Settings and tap Cards. This virtual card can then be used for Tap2Pay transactions, online shopping, and recurring bill payments.
