To secure Google Pay, enable the app lock by opening the app, tapping your profile picture, navigating to Settings > Privacy and security, and enabling App lock (using your phone's PIN, pattern, fingerprint, or a 4-digit Google PIN). This ensures a passcode is required to open the app or make payments.
To secure your Google Pay application, you can set up a 4-digit numerical Google PIN. Your Google PIN is different from your UPI PIN or the PIN that you use to unlock your phone. Devices with Android 5.0 or up can select Google PIN or phone's default lock such as: Pattern.
