Open Settings. In the “Search settings” bar, type NFC. Ensure NFC is turned on. Ensure that you enable contactless payments for the linked card.
To prepare your Android device to use Tap to Pay: Ensure your device is running Android 9 or higher. On your device, navigate to Settings > Connections > NFC and Contactless Payments, then toggle ON Use NFC.
You can check whether your Google phone is enabled for NFC by opening your settings. In the search settings bar, type “NFC” and tap to turn it on. If you cannot find it following these steps, your phone cannot make contactless payments.
You can use Tap To Pay on an eligible iPhone or Android device. If your device isn't eligible for Tap To Pay, you won't see it as a payment option when you charge a client. You can always contact our customer support team in the app to find out if your device is supported.

Unexplained spikes in data usage
If you're using up mobile data faster than expected or experiencing sudden spikes in data usage, it's possible your phone is being tapped. You can see what apps are using data by navigating to your mobile data settings. Look out for suspicious apps that you didn't install or don't use.
Important: If you can't tap and pay, check if you've completed the following steps: Check if your device supports NFC. Set Google Pay as your default payment app. Add a card.

The four curved lines on the front-right of your card, which looks like the Wi-Fi symbol turned on its side, indicate that you can tap to pay anywhere you see the contactless symbol.
