Om as all states of Consciousness. In verses 3 to 6, the Mandukya Upanishad enumerates four states of consciousness: wakeful, dream, deep sleep, and the state of ekatma (being one with Self, the oneness of Self).
The four-part sounds of om are easily experienced while chanting. The 'A' sound begins at the very back of the throat, the 'U' sound resonates at the middle of the mouth, and the 'M' sound at the lips. Take a moment to chant these sounds and feel the progression from the back to the front of the mouth.
The AUM symbol — also spelled “Om” — consists of three curves, one semicircle and a dot. They are symbols of each person's self and potential: The large curve (the lower left corner of the image) symbolizes the waking state.
OM is for short chanting. It is chanted as 1 beat, usually at the beginning of a longer mantra. AUM is for extended chanting. It will take you 3 to 10 seconds or more to pronounce each unique vowel sound, if you're chanting AUM as a mantra meditation on its own.
“A” represents the waking state of consciousness; “U” the state of dream consciousness; “M” the state of deep sleep consciousness; finally, the silence – the place beyond all definitions of consciousness; a place that can't properly be named, but must be given a name so that we can converse; so this nameless state is ...
Four states of consciousness are considered here: the hypnagogic state (the transitional state between waking and sleeping); the hypnopompic state (the transitional state between sleeping and waking); lucid dreaming (insight to the fact that one is currently dreaming); and the out-of-the-body experience (perceiving the ...
OM is at 136.1 Hz which is a frequency that resonates with the Earth and has been associated with light, warmth and joy. At Nature's Miracle® we use the OM sound to wake up our plants. Studies show that while plants cannot hear, they do feel vibrations.
It is distinct from other metrics like Assets Under Management (AUM), which may include assets under advisory. FUM focuses specifically on assets that are actively managed, giving investors a direct insight into the company's operational scale and success in managing client funds.

2.2. Four mental states as defined in yoga texts. There are four mental states, i.e., random thinking (cancalata), concentrative mind (ekagrata), focused meditation (dharana), and effortless meditation (dhyana) as defined in yoga texts.
Aum vibrates at 432 Hz, which is quite low within our hearing range. This means that the sound wave is longer and its frequency of vibration slower than a high-pitch sound at, let's say, 15KHz. The physical result of this is that these sound waves will affect bigger surface areas.
In a recent SWC seminar, Professor Joseph LeDoux proposed a new framework for characterising our existence, made up of four different realms – biological, neurobiological, cognitive and conscious.
5. Cosmic Consciousness: integration of Transcendental Consciousness with waking, dreaming, and sleeping states of consciousness. In this state the physiology is so stable and flexible that stress cannot accumulate. One experiences an underlying continuum of unbounded awareness.
In Hindu philosophy, turiya (Sanskrit: तुरीय, meaning "the fourth"), also referred to as chaturiya or chaturtha, is the true self (atman) beyond the three common states of consciousness (waking, dreaming, and dreamless deep sleep). It is postulated in several Upanishads and explicated in Gaudapada's Mandukya Karika.
First, you have to practice om by chanting out loud, by chanting it with your voice. Then you close your mouth and chant om silently, within the mind. It all depends on your intensity, how much time each person needs. If the friction is intense, the third level will happen sooner.
The “AUM” symbol (or OM – the symbol in the center) symbolizes the Universe and the ultimate reality. It is the most important Hindu symbols.
OM is both a visual symbol and a sacred sound or mantra which can be heard and spoken. The syllable is composed of the three sounds 'A', 'U' and 'M' – AUM. 'A' (pronounced as an elongated “awe”). This sound represents the beginning – the creation of the universe and everything within it.
The dot is typically thought to represent the highest state of consciousness, and the semi-circle represents illusion and the obstacles to true enlightenment. Om is also an important symbol in other religions, such as Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism.
The Mandukya Upanishad describes four states of consciousness - waking, dreaming, deep sleep, and a fourth pure awareness state - and their relationship to the sacred syllable OM. The document provides an overview of the Upanishads and analyzes the Isha Upanishad mantras.
