Apple Pay transactions can be reversed under certain conditions. Payments can be canceled directly if not yet accepted.
You'll get a notification if your Apple Pay transaction is declined - no money will be taken from your CommBank account, even if you saw the tick mark and the word Done on your device.
You can generally return purchases made using Apple Pay by providing the receipt. When the merchant processes your refund, it goes back to your payment card automatically. If you don't have the receipt or the merchant asks for more information, you can provide the Apple Pay card number for your payment card.

Cons of Apple Pay
Apple Pay is not accepted at all retailers and not compatible with all banks or card issuers. Backup may be required, just in case. Apple Pay only works if your phone does. You may still need to carry a physical credit card as a backup in case your battery dies or you misplace your phone.
If you're trying to send money from your debit card in Wallet using Apple Cash, and you see a message that the payment couldn't be completed because it was declined by your bank, contact your bank or card issuer.

If your card was declined, contact your bank or card issuer. To use Apple Pay you need a supported card from a participating card issuer. To check if your card is compatible with Apple Pay, contact your card issuer. Apple Pay is not available in all markets.
If Apple Pay isn't working it may be a general service issue, but more likely it's related to your particular device and Apple Pay set up. In this case, it may be about how your phone is configured, or the payment method you're trying to use on Apple Pay.
Reject a payment in Wallet
Open the Wallet app on your iPhone, tap your Apple Cash card, then look for the payment in Latest Transactions. Tap the payment, tap the payment again, then tap Reject Payment.
Apple Pay transactions will be deducted from your balance including pending transactions immediately, but you will not see them on your Mobile app or Online Banking until the bank has received them and posted them to your account.
To see if a store, restaurant, gas station, or other business accepts Apple Pay, just look for the Apple Pay and NFC/tap and pay decals in store windows and on points of sale. So what are the stores that take Apple Pay?
Often, banks will let you withdraw up to $20,000 per day in person (where they can confirm your identity). Daily withdrawal limits at ATMs tend to be much lower, generally ranging from $300 to $1,000.
Unfortunately, this means that an Apple Cash transfer can't be reversed (because you authorized the transfer). But if you used Apple Pay to send money to a fraudulent store or scammer, you can dispute the transaction. Go to Latest Transactions and select the fraudulent payment that you wish to dispute.
Users must authenticate payments with their Apple Pay accounts, helping to reduce the risk of fraud or unrecognized payments. However, users can still dispute transactions after they complete payment. You can submit evidence to contest a dispute directly. The dispute process is the same as that for card payments.

Some possible reasons for why the transaction is declining even though the digital card still appears in the Apple wallet include: Your card has been temporarily locked. Your card or the transaction account has insufficient funds or limit for the transaction. An incorrect card PIN has been entered at the terminal.
If your application is declined, a message with an explanation is sent to the primary email address associated with the Apple ID you used to apply for Apple Card. The message might show your credit score.
If you have a negative balance in your Apple Cash Balance, we may also require you to load funds with a Supported Payment Card before you can perform additional transactions with your Apple Cash Account.
