DailyPay is an on-demand, real-time pay platform that allows employees to access their earned income 24/7/365, before their actual payday, for a small transaction fee. Through real-time payment (RTP) networks, funds are deposited into a user's bank account or paycard, often within 30 minutes. It is not a loan, but rather early access to wages already earned, helping users avoid overdraft fees.
Instant: Money is available instantly, 24/7, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays, for a fee. Next Day: Transfers requested prior to 11:00pm EST are available in the morning on the next business day. Business days are defined as Monday through Friday, excluding bank holidays.
You won't be able to get all your earnings early with DailyPay. It's likely to be around half of what you earn, especially in the first few weeks. That's intentional and is just to make sure that everything works the way it should in the early months.
Most instant transfers will be in your bank account within 30 minutes. In rare cases, your transfer may take up to 24 hours to appear. If you don't see the money you transferred in the bank account associated with your debit card 24 hours after your transfer was sent, contact the DailyPay Support team.
Reasons your direct deposit hasn't hit
That said, if you haven't received your direct deposit, it could be for several reasons: Your employer entered an incorrect date when processing your payroll. Processing is taking longer than usual due to holidays (payday falling on a bank holiday often delays direct deposits).
DailyPay is connected to your employer's timekeeping system and receives automated reports of your hours worked. Usually, it takes 24 hours for a shift to be added to the automated reports. (At times, due to unexpected delays in reporting, it can take up to 3 days for a worked shift to be reported.)
There may be cases where a payment sent to an employee's bank account fails or is rejected. This usually happens if the employee's personal bank account information (bank account and routing numbers) on file with DailyPay is incorrect. The rejected/failed payment will be returned by the bank to DailyPay.
A traditional ACH transfer takes 1-3 business days to process. However, an instant ACH transfer deposits funds in the recipient's bank account within minutes.
DailyPay offers two types of transfers: Instant and Next Day. Instant = Money is available instantly, 24/7, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays. Next Business Day = Transfers requested prior to 11:00 p.m. EST are available in the morning on the next business day.
DailyPay deposits your paycheck on your normal payday, typically arriving in your bank account early in the morning (around 6 AM ET) if you've used the standard next-business-day transfer, while funds you've transferred earlier are available instantly or by the next business day, depending on the transfer type and timing. The final balance (after any early withdrawals) hits your bank on payday, with timing dependent on your bank, but often by early morning on your scheduled day.
We use Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. as our partner bank. All DailyPay client accounts are operated by Wells Fargo. So, after your direct deposit information has been updated with your company it should read as a Wells Fargo account.
DailyPay offers two types of transfers: next-business-day and instant. The timing is as follows: Instant = money is available instantly, 24/7, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays. Next Day = Transfers requested before 5:30PM EST are available in the morning on the next business day.
Once enrolled, the DailyPay Balance is made available for the employee to make transfers. The pay balance contains up to 100% of the employee's anticipated net earned pay. The remaining balance is automatically deposited into the employee's primary bank account on payday, just like their regular paycheck.
Yes, on your digital banking or mobile banking, you are able to see if there is a pending deposit and what day it will post to your account.
Direct deposits usually post by 9 a.m. on payday, often overnight (midnight to 6 a.m.), depending on when your employer sends payroll and your bank's processing. Check deposits typically take 1-2 business days (or up to 5 for mobile/large amounts), with funds becoming available after the bank's daily cutoff, often around 9 p.m. ET for early availability. Delays happen with weekends, holidays, or after cutoff times, while some banks offer early access (even up to two days) if funds are received early.
Deposits submitted electronically are reviewed faster because they enter the system immediately. Sending them early in the business day increases the chance of same-day or next-day credit. For anyone managing multiple checks, this method also improves recordkeeping and reduces errors.
