Responsibility and Integrity in Paying Debts:
Psalm 37:21 (NIV):”The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously.”
Deuteronomy 15:1-6 (NIV) At the end of every seven years you must cancel debts. 2 This is how it is to be done: Every creditor shall cancel the loan he has made to his fellow Israelite. He shall not require payment from his fellow Israelite or brother, because the LORD's time for canceling debts has been proclaimed.
Nehemiah 10:31 - Forgo the exaction of every debt. Proverbs 22:26 - Do not become guarantors for debts. Matthew 6:12 - Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Matthew 18:27, 30, 32, 34 - Forgive because your debts have been forgiven.
One of the distinguishing marks of a wicked person is his lack of trustworthiness. This is symbolized by David as a person who borrows but does not pay back what is owed. In contrast, a righteous person not only meets their obligations, they practice generosity.
Similarly, in Deuteronomy 15, God says that every seven years, creditors should “remit the claim that is held against a neighbor” because “the Lord's remission has been proclaimed.” In the New Testament, Jesus instructs his followers to pray “forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors” (Matthew 6:12, ...

ESV Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed. NIV Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done. NASB One who is gracious to a poor person lends to the Lord, And He will repay him for his good deed.

You are the God who provides all my needs according to your riches in Glory. I come to You as I am struggling financially, asking for your provision. Remove my fear, doubt, and unbelief. Fill me with Your peace and confidence in the promise of your care for me in time of need.
“The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, without painful toil for it.” – Proverbs 10:22 (NIV) God's blessing can lead to wealth and prosperity in a way that does not require excessive labour. This verse suggests that God's favour can bring you financial success without the burden of strenuous effort.
A Prayer for Personal Finances:
Your word says that as I seek first your kingdom and your righteousness you will provide everything I need. Help me to be content when every message around me tempts me to desire more. Keep me from wanting things I can ill afford.
I commit this hard work to You and trust You will help me come out debt free. Father, in Jesus' name, I'm asking for Your strategies. I trust Your generosity and know You want to lead me to wisdom. So give me Your wisdom to do the right things and make the right moves to get out of debt quickly.

Proverbs 3:27-28 is a very sweeping, broad stroke scripture. It offers quite a bit of instruction. First of all, it says in verse 27 we must not withhold good from our neighbors. The word good here does not mean just being nice in general. The emphasis is on providing tangible goods or material goods for our neighbor.
25 Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered. 25 The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.
In conclusion, Psalm 37 speaks against the temptation to see wickedness, especially the oppression of others, as a sustainable path toward prosperity.
