Our general policy is to make funds from your deposit available to you on the first Business Day after the day we receive your deposit. Cash, electronic direct deposits, wire transfers and checks drawn on Associated Bank will be available on the Business Day we receive the deposit.
With instant transfers, money is available instantly, 24/7. With next- business-day transfers, money is received on the next business day. (This applies to any transfers requested after 5:30PM EST. Transfers typically post to your bank account in 2-3 business days.
What time your direct deposit hits depends on the financial institution. Most recipients can expect their direct deposits to be available by 9 a.m. on payday, with many banks allowing funds to be released between midnight and 6 a.m. If your bank allows for the funds to be released sooner, you'll see them then.
Usually, you'll have access to your direct deposit at the opening of business on your payday — by 9 a.m. In many cases, direct deposits hit accounts even earlier, often between midnight and 6 a.m. on payday morning.
The short answer is that you'll typically be able to access a direct deposit by 9 a.m. on the morning of your payday and sometimes as early as midnight. ¹ That said, the exact timing of when direct deposit hits can vary.
There may be cases where a payment sent to an employee's bank account fails or is rejected. This usually happens if the employee's personal bank account information (bank account and routing numbers) on file with DailyPay is incorrect. The rejected/failed payment will be returned by the bank to DailyPay.
Simply log onto your bank account profile and look at your checking account or savings account history. Depending on when payment was sent, your money could come up as pending direct deposit in either one of these accounts. Go into your bank account history to check the status of your money.
Often, banks will let you withdraw up to $20,000 per day in person (where they can confirm your identity). Daily withdrawal limits at ATMs tend to be much lower, generally ranging from $300 to $1,000.
If you have a late direct deposit, there are several possible explanations, such as bank holidays, processing errors, incorrect bank account information, payroll processing timelines, and other delays.
With a Current Account, we'll release your funds as soon as we receive your direct deposit. If you don't see the deposit reflected in your account, then we haven't received it from your employer or provider yet.
A Current Account is actually a no interest-bearing deposit account.
Banks that offer early direct deposit do this by making funds available in your checking account as soon as they receive information from a payer, such as your employer, about incoming deposits, rather than waiting for the funds to clear first. This way, you might have access to your direct deposit two days early.
How quickly will I receive my money? DailyPay offers two types of transfers: Instant and Next Day. Instant Money is available instantly, 24/7, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays. Next Day Transfers requested prior to 2 30 p.m. PST are available in the morning on the next business day.

Direct Debits leave your account on weekdays, excluding bank holidays. If a payment falls on a weekend or bank holiday, the company will take it on the next available working day instead. There is no set time for a Direct Debit to leave your account, but early morning debits (1am to 7am) are the most common.
