What time your direct deposit hits depends on the financial institution. Most recipients can expect their direct deposits to be available by 9 a.m. on payday, with many banks allowing funds to be released between midnight and 6 a.m. If your bank allows for the funds to be released sooner, you'll see them then.

Transfers typically post to your bank account in 2-3 business days.
One will post your direct deposit as soon as we receive it, up to two days early, based on when we receive the funds from your employer or the other sender.
Because ACH transfers are processed in batches, direct ACH payments typically take one to three business days to appear in the recipient's account—longer than it generally takes to process wire transfers, credit card transactions, and ATM transactions. No international payments.
Reasons your direct deposit hasn't hit
Your employer entered an incorrect date when processing your payroll. Processing is taking longer than usual due to holidays (payday falling on a bank holiday often delays direct deposits). The direct deposit request was accidentally submitted after business hours.
If you deposit cash, that money goes directly to your account and will be ready for you to use immediately. But for checks and other items that might need verification (to protect you and the bank), the money usually won't be available until the next business day.
How early direct deposit works. Early direct deposit is generally a free and automatic feature at a bank. Automatic, in this case, means there's no sign-up required if you're eligible. And early means one to two days ahead of payday, so if you normally get a paycheck on Friday, it would arrive on Wednesday.
Direct deposits
Deposits appear in your Found account as soon as they are received, typically within 1-2 business days. At times, your deposit will appear as pending while it is reviewed.
Why would my direct deposit be delayed? Your direct deposit could be delayed because it arrived on or right before a bank holiday or weekend. Deposits could also be delayed if the sender didn't deposit the money on time.
There may be cases where a payment sent to an employee's bank account fails or is rejected. This usually happens if the employee's personal bank account information (bank account and routing numbers) on file with DailyPay is incorrect. The rejected/failed payment will be returned by the bank to DailyPay.
Daily pay—also known as earned pay, instant pay, and real time pay—provides immediate access to funds without the common three-day wait of bank transfers.
Simply log onto your bank account profile and look at your checking account or savings account history. Depending on when payment was sent, your money could come up as pending direct deposit in either one of these accounts. Go into your bank account history to check the status of your money.
Funds are transferred electronically and are deposited into the recipient's account at midnight on the payment date. Since the funds clear automatically through the ACH, they are available immediately, so there's no need for the bank to put a hold on them.
The first thing to do if there is an issue with your paycheck (or if you didn't get one at all) is to talk to your manager, payroll department, or human resources department. It could be an error or a miscommunication, and they should be able to advise you on what the problem is and when you can expect to get paid.
Direct deposit is usually processed before 9 am on your scheduled payday. If a payday falls on a weekend or holiday, the deposit may be delayed to the next business day, or your employer may schedule it so it occurs early.
FUNDS AVAILABILITY DISCLOSURE
Our general policy is to make funds from your deposit available to you on the first Business Day after the day we receive your deposit. Cash, electronic direct deposits, wire transfers and checks drawn on Associated Bank will be available on the Business Day we receive the deposit.
Usually, you'll have access to your direct deposit at the opening of business on your payday — by 9 a.m. In many cases, direct deposits hit accounts even earlier, often between midnight and 6 a.m. on payday morning. But there are factors that can affect how long it takes your direct deposit to become available.
If you notice a problem with a deposit, contact the bank immediately and find out what happened to fix the issue. Your account agreement will inform you of how long you have to notify the bank about errors.
However, the exact time of day that your paycheck or benefit payment is deposited onto your card will usually vary from payday to payday because employers and benefits providers often send payment instructions at different times from pay period to pay period and fraud prevention restrictions may apply.
Bacs payments will usually go into an account between 01:00 and 07:00. This is the standard Bacs payment time, so if a payment doesn't arrive by 07:00, it may be processed the next working day.
Banks that offer early direct deposit do this by making funds available in your checking account as soon as they receive information from a payer, such as your employer, about incoming deposits, rather than waiting for the funds to clear first. This way, you might have access to your direct deposit two days early.
Direct deposit does not process on bank holidays. If payday falls on a bank holiday, employees will not receive their direct deposit. Employees' direct deposits are delayed a day when payday falls on a bank holiday.
Generally, a bank must make the first $225 from the deposit available—for either cash withdrawal or check writing purposes—at the start of the next business day after the banking day that the deposit is made. The rest of the deposit should generally be available on the second business day.
