Some of the examples of GST-exempted products are books, maps, plastic bangles, and certain notified handicraft goods. If you are listing exclusively GST-exempted products, you must choose the appropriate PTC for selling such GST-exempt goods. Go to the GST portal to identify products that are exempted from GST.
Supplies which don't come under the scope of the GST are termed as Non-GST supplies. However, these supplies can attract taxes other than the GST as per the jurisdiction of the state or the country. Some examples of such supplies include petrol, alcohol, etc.
If a supplier's ABN is matched, but their GST status is either not active or NULL, and the bill includes a GST amount, the alert is raised. This helps you avoid incorrectly claiming GST in your Business Activity Statement (BAS), which could result in ATO adjustments or penalties.
