ENTP and ENFP are generally considered to love and be most compatible with INFJs, often described as their "golden pair" or ideal match. These extroverted types appreciate the depth, mystery, and intuition of the INFJ, while the INFJ benefits from their spontaneity and social initiative.
ENFJ and INFP have a deep romantic bond.
Both ENFJs and INFPs are dreamers who want to find someone to share a deep bond with them. They take dating seriously, and they're both extremely passionate and altruistic. As spiritual soulmates, this relationship can be incredibly powerful.
INFJs are often considered most compatible with ENTPs, who provide intellectual challenge and help draw them out, and ENFPs, who share their idealism and emotional depth; other strong matches include INTJs for deep understanding, ENFJs for shared values, and sometimes INFPs for natural rapport, though practicalities might be a challenge. The key is finding other Intuitive (N) types who appreciate their depth and idealism, though balanced relationships with Sensors (S) are possible with maturity.
"Although two well-developed individuals of any type can enjoy a healthy relationship, INFJ's natural partner is the ENTP, or the ENFP. INFJ's dominant function of Introverted Intuition is best matched with a personality type that is dominated by Extraverted Intuition."
INFJ Compatibility
MTBI personality types most compatible with INFJ are ENTP and ENFP. Personality types least compatible with an INFJ are ISTP and ESTP.
Another red flag is having a martyr complex. INFJs may sacrifice things for others without even being asked. This can leave them frustrated when things don't exactly go how they imagined they would. And lastly, an INFJ may overextend themselves trying to save or fix other people.

In short, as INFJs prize group harmony, we do our best to avoid any disruption that might put that harmony or our relationships at risk. Most of the time, we fear that by disagreeing with someone, we might hurt that person's feelings and destroy the harmony we so deeply value.
Here are some traits that might help you recognize an INFJ:
Relationships between INFJs and these types should have a good balance of commonalities and opportunities to challenge one another.

For example, I could go out of my way to be there for you if you need help or support. If I like you, I tend to be close to you. INFJ like to be physically close with the people they like. If you notice they like to be close to you or make eye contact with you, that's a good sign they like you.
The action-oriented, spontaneous ESTP and ISTP types tend to clash with the thoughtful, future-oriented INFJ type. These types live in the moment, while INFJs prefer to analyze and look ahead.
ENFPs and INTJs compliment INFJ processes, ISTJs run in opposition. Therefore, if you accept the existence of MBTI, you also accept that an ISTJ will not be the best type to understand you as an INFJ. Unless you are actually an INTJ, which would explain your experience.

To them, it's just doing what's “right.” They feel it's their job to always be the emotional anchor for others, the high achiever, the moral compass. They rarely say no, and often prioritize others' needs over their own. This pattern can lead to emotional depletion and, over time, depression or burnout.
