In the Quran (primarily 2:245 and 57:11), Allah asks who will lend Him a "goodly loan" (Qard Hasan), which is interpreted as spending from one’s wealth for charity, to help others, or in His cause. This metaphorically represents giving with sincere, selfish-free motives, for which He promises to multiply the reward many times over.
Who will lend to Allah a good loan which Allah will multiply many times over? It is Allah ˹alone˺ who decreases and increases ˹wealth˺. And to Him you will ˹all˺ be returned.
Quran verse 93:4, from Surah Ad-Duha, states, "And the next life is certainly far better for you than this one," a message of hope and divine reassurance that the Hereafter holds greater reward and peace than worldly life, encouraging patience and trust in Allah's plan, especially during difficult times.
“Who is he that will loan to Allah a beautiful loan, which Allah will double unto his credit and multiply many times? It is Allah that giveth (you) Want or plenty, and to Him shall be your return.
Surah 57, Verse 3 (Al-Hadid) of the Quran describes Allah as the First and the Last, the Outward (Manifest) and the Inward (Hidden), and the Knower of all things, emphasizing His eternal nature, encompassing presence, and complete knowledge. It highlights His pre-eternity and everlastingness, His manifestation through creation, His hidden essence beyond human perception, and His omniscience, affirming that nothing precedes Him and nothing is hidden from Him.
19. These two opponents (believers and disbelievers) dispute with each other about their Lord; then as for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them, boiling water will be poured down over their heads. 20. With it will melt or vanish away what is within their bellies, as well as (their) skins.
(33:56) Allah and His angels bless the Prophet. Believers, invoke blessings and peace on him. (33:57) Verily those who cause annoyance to Allah and His Messenger Allah has cursed them in this world and in the Hereafter and has prepared for them a humiliating chastisement.
Quran 47:4 (Surah Muhammad), often called the "Verse of the Sword," instructs believers in battle to strike the necks of disbelievers until subdued, then bind them, and later release them either by grace or ransom until the war ends, explaining this is a test from Allah, who could have won without them, and assures that martyrs in His cause have their deeds preserved.
(2:152) So remember Me and I shall remember you; give thanks to Me and do not be ungrateful to Me for My favours.
And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah's messenger – they slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain.
The only woman explicitly named in the Quran is Maryam (Mary), mother of the Prophet Jesus (Isa), who holds a uniquely honored status, mentioned seventy times and with an entire chapter (Surah Maryam) named after her, recognized as the greatest woman to have lived.
(95:4) surely We created man in the best mould; 3. This is the truth for which the oath has been sworn by the lands of the fig and the olive (i.e. Syria and Palestine) and Mt. Sinai and Makkah, the city of peace.
Islam forbids both receiving and paying interest (riba). Many of us can end up accumulating interest through our bank accounts even if we don't want it, so what should we do with it? Since it is not permissible to use riba for one's own benefit, we should donate it to charity.
Quran verse 33:57 from Surah Al-Ahzab warns that those who harm Allah and His Messenger are cursed in this world and the Hereafter, facing a humiliating punishment, and it's part of a passage addressing believers' conduct, emphasizing respect and adherence to divine commands, as seen in this Facebook post from Nov 2024 and this Reddit post.
So be patient; indeed, the [best] outcome is for the righteous. Pickthall: This is of the tidings of the Unseen which We inspire in thee (Muhammad). Thou thyself knewest it not, nor did thy folk (know it) before this. Then have patience.
And verily, Hell is the promised abode for them all! Surely Hell is the promised place for all of them.” “And surely, Hell is the promised place for them all. And lo! for all such, hell will be the promised place.
(3:137) Many eras have passed before you. Go about, then, in the land and behold the end of those who gave the lie to (the directives and ordinances of Allah).
One such powerful verse is Sura Al-Hujurat (49:13), which states: “O mankind! Indeed, We created you from a male and a female and made you into nations and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you.
(3:185) Everyone is bound to taste death and you shall receive your full reward on the Day of Resurrection. Then, whoever is spared the Fire and is admitted to Paradise has indeed been successful. The life of this world is merely an illusory enjoyment.
Man is a creature of haste: soon (enough) will I show you My Signs; then ye will not ask Me to hasten them! Man is hasty by nature. I shall certainly show you My Signs. Do not ask Me to be hasty.
The verse is divided into two parts: one in which Allah ﷻ will not destroy the people as long as the Prophet ﷺ is among them (a temporary condition), and another where Allah will not punish them as long as they are asking for forgiveness (a permanent condition).
(49:15) Indeed the ones possessed of true faith are those who believed in Allah and His Messenger and then they did not entertain any doubt and strove hard in the Way of Allah with their lives and their possessions. These are the truthful ones.
And say to the believing women that they must lower their gazes - 24:31. In the initial part of this long verse the injunction is the same which has been enjoined on men-folk in the preceding verse, that is, keep the eyes down or turn away the eyes.
