I ask that You bless me with a financial breakthrough, so that I may be able to give generously, save wisely, and live prosperously. Amen.” "Father God, thank You for all the good things I have in my life and all the blessings You have given me. I pray to You today to ask for a financial miracle.
So many of the miracles we find in the Bible are miracles of provision. They are financial or material miracles. The Feeding of the 5,000, the only miracle in all four Gospels, is a miracle of material provision. This miracle, like many miracles of provision, has powerful spiritual significance, too.
Turning to Bible verses for financial struggles can be incredibly helpful. Verses such as Philippians 4:19, which states, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus,” are a reminder that God is a faithful provider.
God is a good Father who gives good gifts, including our money (Matthew 7:11). Since our money is a gift from God (1 Chronicles 29:11--12), it is right that we ask Him to help us steward it well (James 1:5).
You are the God who provides all my needs according to your riches in Glory. I come to You as I am struggling financially, asking for your provision. Remove my fear, doubt, and unbelief. Fill me with Your peace and confidence in the promise of your care for me in time of need.
We can and should ask God for financial help, but always in the light of what the true purpose of prayer is—to lead us into a closer relationship with and obedience to God (James 4:8).
Prayer for financial breakthrough:
"Dear God, I pray for a breakthrough in my financial situation. Please open doors and create opportunities for me to increase my income and achieve financial freedom."
Luke 6:20–21 (NIV)
Looking at his disciples, he said: “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.”
Throughout the Bible, we find powerful promises of God's provision and encouragement to trust Him with our needs. From verses about prosperity to prayers for financial security, Scripture reminds us that God cares deeply about every aspect of our lives, including our finances.
I ask for abundance of money, food, or property so I may share it with my friends, family, and fellow Christians. I ask that you open all doors that are normally closed to me. Almighty God, I pray that you forgive me of all sin that has caused lack of abundance in my life.
God, please bring a miracle into my life. I know that you can do the impossible in my life and I am trusting in your promises. Thank you for being a God who sees and hears my every need. In Jesus' name, amen.
Matthew 7:7-8 (ESV) – “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” Psalm 37:4 (NLT) – “Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart's desires.”
Basic Financial Breakthrough Prayer
“Dear Heavenly Father, at this 3AM hour, I come before You seeking financial breakthrough. Open doors of blessing and provide for my needs. Let Your abundance flow into my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.”
Keep your request "short and sweet," says Kimberly Palmer, personal finance expert at NerdWallet, and mention it to them in the middle of a conversation. "Oh, by the way, did you want to repay me for the money I let you borrow?" "I can accept Google Pay or cash."
St. Matthew, the patron of financial matters, I am in need of financial help. Please intercede for me, that God will hear and answer my requests, if it be according to His will. Help me in my financial difficulty, and intercede for me that my struggles may find quick resolution.
Psalm 112:3
“Wealth and riches are in their houses, and their righteousness endures forever.” As I keep my eyes fixed on You, Lord, following Your precepts and all Your ways, all these things shall be added unto me. All for Your glory, Lord!
Debt or financial problems can be a struggle, but they cal also inspire trust, faith, peace, and discernment. The Bible tells us that God is not just interested in how to solve our financial problems, but also in doing something more mysterious.
Even though asking for help doesn't automatically equate to failure, the fact is that we do fail, and we are weak. We are needy. Though it can be painful for us to acknowledge, God never shames us for admitting this truth. God's desire in Scripture is that we would cry out to him and turn to him.
Many churches have benevolence funds to help people (primarily members) get through a financial rough patch. But many folks who readily support their church having a benevolence fund would find it difficult to ask for help from it.
Father, I confess you are a very present help in trouble, and you are more than enough. I confess, God, that you are able to make all grace – every favor and earthly blessing – come to me in abundance, so that I am always, and in all circumstances, furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation.
I pray to you as I am desperate for help. I need to know that you care, that you love me, be my refuge from pain, replacing my distress with peace, and be my strength when I feel weak and find it hard to carry on.
Lord Jesus Christ, you are the Lamb of God; you take away the sins of the world. Through the grace of the Holy Spirit restore me to friendship with your Father, cleanse me from every stain of sin in the blood you shed for me, and raise me to new life for the glory of your name.
