A Powerful Prayer for Getting Out of Debt
Dear God, I pray for relief from the burden and unbearable weight of debt. I'm so thankful that even though I may have made bad choices that got me into debt, You are much bigger than my mistakes. I ask for deliverance from the stress of debt.
Proverbs 22:7 says “The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is slave of the lender.” God does not want us to be slaves and He will help us to overcome that situation. But, bottom line, He expects us to put the work and effort into adopting a debt-free lifestyle. Prayer is just the first good step.
Dear Heavenly Father, We come before you in the name of Jesus, on behalf of Wadnon, who is in need of an immediate money miracle. Lord, we lift up this urgent financial situation to you. We acknowledge that you are the source of all provision and that nothing is impossible for you.
Matthew 6:12 - Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Matthew 18:27, 30, 32, 34 - Forgive because your debts have been forgiven. Luke 7:42-43 - He who is forgiven much (debt) loves much; he who is forgiven little (debt) loves little. Romans 4:4 - Wages, like a debt owed, must be paid.
The Bible never says that going into debt is a sin. However, it issues a very stark warning: “The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender”.
Ask for forgiveness.
Once you have put together this great mountain of debt, bring it to the Lord and ask Him to forgive you for your part in having created it. You may not be responsible for all of it but some of your debt may be due to foolishness, carelessness, love of luxury or lack of self-control.
It's absolutely okay to ask God for a miracle. The Bible makes it clear that in “every situation” that we can ask God “with thanksgiving” and he will provide for our needs (Philippians 4:5-7).
You are the God who provides all my needs according to your riches in Glory. I come to You as I am struggling financially, asking for your provision. Remove my fear, doubt, and unbelief. Fill me with Your peace and confidence in the promise of your care for me in time of need.
Lord Jesus, I come before you, just as I am, I am sorry for my sins, I repent of my sins, please forgive me. In your Name, I forgive all others for what they have done against me. I renounce Satan, the evil spirits and all their works. I give you my entire self, Lord Jesus, now and forever.
A Prayer for Personal Finances:
Your word says that as I seek first your kingdom and your righteousness you will provide everything I need. Help me to be content when every message around me tempts me to desire more. Keep me from wanting things I can ill afford.
Each morning, visit a Shiva temple, present a red flower as an offering on the Shivling and accompany it with water. This gesture pleases Lord Shiva and is believed to contribute to the resolution of debt-related problems.
Turning to Bible verses for financial struggles can be incredibly helpful. Verses such as Philippians 4:19, which states, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus,” are a reminder that God is a faithful provider.
1- You can say this Du`a to pay off our debts: “Allahumma ikfini bi halalika `an haramika wa aghnini bi fadlika `amman siwaka.” 2- One of the most beneficial means of attaining provision is praying a great deal for forgiveness.
“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
Filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy may discharge most unsecured debts, including credit card balances, which can give you a fresh start. Chapter 13 bankruptcy, on the other hand, lets you create a payment plan to repay some of your debts over three to five years, after which any remaining eligible debt may be forgiven.
Father, in Jesus' name, I'm asking for Your strategies. I trust Your generosity and know You want to lead me to wisdom. So give me Your wisdom to do the right things and make the right moves to get out of debt quickly. Father, in Jesus' name, I'm asking for a sustainable income.
Listen, if you're knee-deep in a money crisis of your own, I'm here to tell you: God has your back! Trust me, I know it's tough to trust God when you have no money. And although we may feel blindsided or overwhelmed, God doesn't! He'll provide a way through to the other side.
Father, I present my finances before You, and I pray for a financial miracle—an increase in wealth and a decrease in losses. I desire to let go of the stress and depression that a lack of money has caused me. Amen.”
Some folks question whether it's okay to ask God for financial help. So first off, let's dispel the notion that God doesn't care about your money or that it's wrong to pray about your finances. Nothing in the Bible says that. If it's important to you, it's important to God.
Give Him full dominion in your life and affairs. Give Him your business, your family affairs, your finances, and let Him pay your debts. He is even now doing it, for it is His righteous desire to free you from every burden, and He is leading you out of the burden of debt, whether of owing or being owed.
Father, I confess you are a very present help in trouble, and you are more than enough. I confess, God, that you are able to make all grace – every favor and earthly blessing – come to me in abundance, so that I am always, and in all circumstances, furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation.
Romans 13:8
8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
