To download GSTR-1 invoice-wise details in Excel, log in to the GST Portal, navigate to Returns Dashboard, select the period, and use the 'Download Details from e-invoice (Excel)' button on the GSTR-1 page. For records > 500, check the 'E-invoice Download History'.
To view the e-Invoice, simply select the link provided in the "Download File" column. 8. To view and download an e-Invoice list in Excel format for a specific period, utilize the "List of IRNs" tab. Select the desired Financial Year and Month, then click the "DOWNLOAD E-INVOICE (Excel)" button.
For this, you can use 'Download details from e-invoice (Excel)' button on GSTR-1 dashboard. It may to be noted that the auto-populated details in this excel file are as reported on e-invoice portal Invoice Registration Portal (IRP).
1. Excel's built-in PDF import feature
Step 1 : Choose the client for whom you want to import GSTR-1 book data by clicking on the client's name. This will take you to the Return Summary page. Step 2 : On the Return Summary page, you will see a list of all types of GSTR filings. Locate the Import Books Data button on the left-hand side.
You can download the E-invoice details that get auto-populated in Form GSTR-1 in an excel by clicking the DOWNLOAD DETAILS FROM E-INVOICES (EXCEL) button available at the bottom of Form GSTR-1 page.

Here's how to extract invoice data using Excel:

Downloading GSTR-1
If the number of sales invoices is more than 500, then the GST Offline Utility has to be downloaded and the return file needs to be generated from this offline utility. There is no option to perform bulk action on invoices.
Export GSTR-1 in Excel format
1. To download the e-Invoice, visit https://einvoice.gst.gov.in and login with valid GST credentials. Click on Download e-invoice JSONs tile on the dashboard. Alternatively, taxpayer can navigate download e-Invoice by clicking Dashboard tile > e-Invoice Download tab.
Once you are done uploading all the data to your GST Offline Utility Tool, click on the 'View Summary' button as highlighted below: Here, just click on 'Generate File' to generate a JSON file that can be uploaded to the GST Portal. Click on the link to download the JSON file: That's it!
