During the first 4 days after activation, you may not transfer more than Rs. 5,00,000 in the aggregate to the beneficiary added by you. Thereafter, the full per day limit, as set by you, subject to maximum of Rs. 10 lakh, will become available.
Transfers can be made in multiples of Rs 2 lakh, up to the chosen TPT limit, with a maximum of ₹50 lakh. Security Measures: For security reasons, transfers to newly added beneficiaries are restricted to ₹50,000 in total, whether in full or in parts, during the first 24 hours after the beneficiary is added.
7. Is there any limit on funds / amount to be remitted through NEFT system? Ans: No, there is no limit imposed by the RBI for funds transfer through NEFT system.
While you can have any number of primary beneficiaries, some accounts and life insurance policies may also allow you to designate contingent beneficiaries. Assets will only pass to contingent beneficiaries if the primary beneficiaries have predeceased you or can't be found.
With effect from February 1, 2024, customers can transfer up to Rs 5 lakh between bank accounts without adding beneficiary details and an IFSC code to initiate a transaction using the IMPS.
Option 1: Contact your bank directly in order to request that they increase your transfer limit. They can usually do this for you at the counter or if you explain that you are making a remittance for international school tuition payment.
