Living according to God's will involves knowing and obeying His revealed Word (the Bible) by seeking holiness, loving others, and renewing your mind, while also discerning specific guidance through prayer, wise counsel, and recognizing His leading in your circumstances, ultimately choosing faith and obedience over selfish desires to align your thoughts, words, and actions with Christ. It's a daily commitment to surrender personal will, trust God's path, and walk in love and good works.
If you want to live in God's perfect will, you'll guard your heart, obey God's laws even when it's tough, and let the Holy Spirit fill you until no one around you can help but ask what it is that gives you peace, joy and hope.
Doing God's will requires a deliberate choice—actually, many deliberate choices—every day: to abstain from sexual immorality (1 Thessalonians 4:3), to give thanks in everything (1 Thessalonians 5:18), to do good even when you might suffer for it (1 Peter 2:15). Those are not easy decisions.
