Do checks clear on Saturdays? Business days don't typically include weekends or holidays. That means a check deposited Friday night after business hours will be treated as if it were deposited Monday morning (if it isn't a holiday). Some financial institutions may advertise extended business hours or days.

Saturday isn't a business day in the banking world. Monday is the same “day” for all intents and purposes. If there was no hold placed on it, a check deposited on Saturday (which is the same as depositing it on Monday) will usually be made available by Tuesday morning.

Banks process wire transfers on the same day from Monday to Friday. As a result, money sent on weekends will have to wait for the next business day to be processed. Along with that, the wire transfer cut-off times also impact processing times.

Standard ACH, including file uploaded payments must be approved by 8:00 PM ET (on the send on date) and arrival time is as early as 1 business day. Standard ACH payments authorized after the cutoff time will be processed the next business day.
Depositing a check after the cut-off time could add another day to the check process. Holidays and Weekends: Checks usually won't process on days the bank is closed.
The main reason for this is simple, ACH doesn't operate on weekends or bank holidays. This applies to all deposits that use ACH, including payroll for most employers, unemployment or disability benefits, and deposits you've initiated from your own 3rd party bank in our app.
Deposits made to a Bank of America account on a day that is not a business day (Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays) or after cutoff time on a business day will be processed for deposit on the next business day and generally available on the business day following the process date.
