The Quran discusses loans in several verses, notably Surah Al-Baqarah (2:282), the longest verse, which details the importance of writing down debts for justice and clarity, and verses like 2:245, 5:17, and 57:18, which encourage giving loans as a "good loan to Allah" for great reward, emphasizing charity and financial responsibility. These verses cover legal aspects (documentation, witnesses for debt) and spiritual encouragement (charity, good lending).
O you who have believed, when you contract a debt for a specified term, write it down. And let a scribe write [it] between you in justice. Let no scribe refuse to write as God (God is translated as Allah in Arabic.) Allāh has taught him.
Surah 57, Verse 3 (Al-Hadid) of the Quran describes Allah as the First and the Last, the Outward (Manifest) and the Inward (Hidden), and the Knower of all things, emphasizing His eternal nature, encompassing presence, and complete knowledge. It highlights His pre-eternity and everlastingness, His manifestation through creation, His hidden essence beyond human perception, and His omniscience, affirming that nothing precedes Him and nothing is hidden from Him.
Quran 47:4 (Surah Muhammad), often called the "Verse of the Sword," instructs believers in battle to strike the necks of disbelievers until subdued, then bind them, and later release them either by grace or ransom until the war ends, explaining this is a test from Allah, who could have won without them, and assures that martyrs in His cause have their deeds preserved.
Quran verse 14:7, from Surah Ibrahim (Abraham), emphasizes God's promise of increased blessings for gratitude and severe punishment for ingratitude, stating, "And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, 'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.'". This verse highlights that thankfulness leads to more blessings, while ungratefulness, or denial of blessings, brings severe consequences, a concept repeatedly emphasized in the Arabic text for its importance.
19. These two opponents (believers and disbelievers) dispute with each other about their Lord; then as for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them, boiling water will be poured down over their heads. 20. With it will melt or vanish away what is within their bellies, as well as (their) skins.
Sahih International: And fear a trial which will not strike those who have wronged among you exclusively, and know that Allah is severe in penalty. Pickthall: And guard yourselves against a chastisement which cannot fall exclusively on those of you who are wrong-doers, and know that Allah is severe in punishment.
One such powerful verse is Sura Al-Hujurat (49:13), which states: “O mankind! Indeed, We created you from a male and a female and made you into nations and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you.
English Translation
“And surely, Hell is the promised place for them all. And lo! for all such, hell will be the promised place. And surely Hell will be indeed their promised (abode) all together.
(33:56) Allah and His angels bless the Prophet. Believers, invoke blessings and peace on him. (33:57) Verily those who cause annoyance to Allah and His Messenger Allah has cursed them in this world and in the Hereafter and has prepared for them a humiliating chastisement.
(7:157) [To-day this mercy is for] those who follow the ummi Prophet, 112 whom they find mentioned in the Torah and the Gospel with them. He enjoins upon them what is good and forbids them what is evil.
(8:47) And be not like those who came forth from their homes exulting, with a desire to be seen of men, and hindering others from the way of Allah. Allah encompasses all that they do.
The longest verse of the Quran in Surah Al-Baqarah, Chapter Two Verse 282 which is also known as آية الدين ayat ad-dayn or آية المداينة ayat al-mudayanah is normally translated as the verse of debt or the verse of loan.
Quran verse 93:4, from Surah Ad-Duha, states, "And the next life is certainly far better for you than this one," a message of hope and divine reassurance that the Hereafter holds greater reward and peace than worldly life, encouraging patience and trust in Allah's plan, especially during difficult times.
Quran verse 9:29 (Surah At-Tawbah) commands Muslims to fight certain People of the Book (Jews and Christians) who don't believe in Allah or the Last Day, nor follow Islamic law, until they pay the jizya (tax) willingly and submit, signifying a military/political context where they live under Muslim rule as a protected, but subordinate, group. The verse is often debated, with interpretations focusing on its historical context of warfare and the jizya as a protection tax for non-combatants, rather than a general call for forced conversion or perpetual war.
(9:31) They take their rabbis and their monks for their lords apart from Allah, and also the Messiah, son of Mary, whereas they were commanded to worship none but the One True God. There is no god but He. Exalted be He above those whom they associate with Him in His Divinity. 31.
(O disbelievers) if you ask for a judgement, now has the judgement come unto you; and if you cease (to do wrong), it will be better for you, and if you return (to the attack), so shall We return, and your forces will be of no avail to you, however numerous they be; and verily, Allah is with the believers.

And there was no host, beside Allah, to help him, nor could he be of any help to himself. And he had no group of men to help him against Allah, nor could he defend or save himself. And he had no troop of men to help him as against Allah, nor could he save himself.

And for every Ummah (a community or a nation), there is a Messenger; when their Messenger comes, the matter will be judged between them with justice, and they will not be wronged. And for every nation there is a messenger.
And say to the believing women that they must lower their gazes - 24:31. In the initial part of this long verse the injunction is the same which has been enjoined on men-folk in the preceding verse, that is, keep the eyes down or turn away the eyes.
(15:53) They said: “Do not feel afraid, for we give you the good news of a wise boy.” 32. “A boy possessing knowledge”, Prophet Isaac (peace be upon him). His name has been mentioned in connection with this good news in Surah Houd, Ayat 71.

Say, “Have you considered: if His punishment should come to you by night or by day – for which [aspect] of it would the criminals be impatient?” Say: “Do ye see,- if His punishment should come to you by night or by day,- what portion of it would the sinners wish to hasten?
Surah At-Taubah Ayat 53 (9:53 Quran) With Tafsir
Say, “Spend willingly or unwillingly; never will it be accepted from you. Indeed, you have been a defiantly disobedient people.” Say: “Spend (for the cause) willingly or unwillingly: not from you will it be accepted: for ye are indeed a people rebellious and wicked.”
(8:55) Surely the worst moving creatures in the sight of Allah are those who definitively denied the truth and are therefore in no way prepared to accept it; (8:56) (especially) those with whom you entered into a covenant and then they broke their covenant time after time, and who do not fear Allah.
