Psalm 121:2 (NIV) – “My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Proverbs 22:4 (KJV) – “By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life.” Psalm 128:2 (NIV) – “You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.”
Why Is Psalm 91 So Powerful? Because it invokes God's protection. As with all Scripture, Psalm 91 proclaims God's inspired words, which are all the more powerful when we faithfully beseech their omnipotent author, who will provide the safeguarding grace he promises in this prayer.
You might say to God: “Heavenly Father, I lift this person up to you and put this situation in your hands. Please give me wisdom. Please bless this person financially so they will never feel the need to borrow in the future. Your ways are not our ways.
In my time of need, I pray that You will place people and resources in my path that will help me to best do Your will for my situation. Help me to seek to do your will, even in this time of financial difficulty, and trust that You will point me in the right direction in Your perfect timing. (Mention intentions here.)
Psalm 23 is one of the best-known and most often-quoted passages in the Bible. The psalm is commonly used in the context of death and the funeral service.
Responsibility and Integrity in Paying Debts:
Psalm 37:21 (NIV):”The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously.”
Exodus 22:14 - If anything is borrowed, it should be paid back. If what is borrowed is lost or injured, full restitution must be made. Ps 37:21 - The wicked borrows but does not pay back, but the righteous is generous and gives. The Bible is clear that when something is borrowed is should be paid back.
Turning to Bible verses for financial struggles can be incredibly helpful. Verses such as Philippians 4:19, which states, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus,” are a reminder that God is a faithful provider.
We will also be praying the most powerful psalm in the Holy Bible, able to bring protection, break all chains and that brings deliverance, which is the famous psalm ninety-one.
Psalm 91 is a call to confidence in God and so is a call away from the cynicism of our age. At a time when many people seem to live only for the moment (because beyond that, who knows what will happen), Psalm 91 is a call to confidence in a God who, if you make him your resting place, will never leave you.
Pray through Each Room of Your Home
To do a house blessing: Begin on the lowest level of your home. Pray for each room over each doorway and around each window. Continue to walk through your home praying for each room in each space, moving through your house.
You are the God who provides all my needs according to your riches in Glory. I come to You as I am struggling financially, asking for your provision. Remove my fear, doubt, and unbelief. Fill me with Your peace and confidence in the promise of your care for me in time of need.
Deuteronomy 8:17-18 New International Version (NIV)
You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.
Philippians 4:19: And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. Proverbs 10:22: The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it. 2 Corinthians 9:8: And God will generously provide all you need.
Some folks question whether it's okay to ask God for financial help. So first off, let's dispel the notion that God doesn't care about your money or that it's wrong to pray about your finances. Nothing in the Bible says that. If it's important to you, it's important to God.
Psalm 112:3
“Wealth and riches are in their houses, and their righteousness endures forever.” As I keep my eyes fixed on You, Lord, following Your precepts and all Your ways, all these things shall be added unto me. All for Your glory, Lord!
Father, I present my finances before You, and I pray for a financial miracle—an increase in wealth and a decrease in losses. I desire to let go of the stress and depression that a lack of money has caused me. Amen.”
This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust Him. He will rescue me from every trap and protect me from deadly disease. He will cover me with His feathers and shelter me with His wings.
Psalm 23 is the best-known psalm and the favorite biblical passage of many. Why? Because it does more than tell us that God protects, guides, and blesses. It shows us a poetic image of a powerless sheep being tended by an unfailingly careful shepherd.
Psalm 27 Of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation-- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life-- of whom shall I be afraid? When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall.
Father God, I bless my family with Psalm 91. I say that we dwell in the secret place of the Most High, and we abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I say of you Lord, you are our refuge, our fortress, our God, in You we trust for health, prosperity and safety from destruction.
