Leviticus 19:33-34
34 The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.
Other biblical principles relating to immigration issues are found in Deuteronomy 10:17-19 and Romans 13:1-5, which show that the Lord not only calls us to be subject to the governing authorities but he also wants his people to care for the foreigner: God wants us to be people of justice and mercy.

In Hebrews 13:17, church leaders are called to watch over their flock as those who must give account before God. That's a tall order, but it's what God appoints them to do. And in the same verse, members of the congregation are reminded of their responsibility to their leaders.

Obey the rulers who have authority over you. Only God can give authority to anyone, and he puts these rulers in their places of power. People who oppose the authorities are opposing what God has done, and they will be punished. Rulers are a threat to evil people, not to good people.

Deuteronomy 27:19 states, "Cursed is anyone who withholds justice from the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow." Then all the people shall say, "Amen!" This verse seems to indicate that people are supposed to care for foreigners, orphans and widows. These people were at the bottom of society.
